What used to be just second nature—living alongside the elements, reading the sky, listening to the hedges—has somehow become this rare, forgotten art form. You're dead right that it’s sad how disconnected people have let themselves get. But you're spot on: the second you step back outside and actually pay attention, it's like muscle memory. It all comes flooding right back.
With over thirty years in Liverpool, you've certainly had plenty of practice keeping your wits about you, even if the city air has a bit more bite to it than back home!
